Winter 04 03:40
the hum of street lamps did smother all of the noise and spread out like a blanket and the still that crept us out of bed and into the blue line car held my head in focus slow down! we are traveling too quickly from winter 04 you laid your head down to catch up on your rest to turn yourself back out again i stepped across from roof to roof while the city was on pause before we went back in again slow down! we are traveling too quickly from winter 04 hey! where'd you go? i thought that you were coming along with me you could not outrun all the thoughts that would enter your heart and head your cousin's party did poison our eyes and ears and dropped us into comas sometimes i'm aware that i've skipped days and i don't know why they went and i don't care that they're gone slow down! we are traveling too quickly from winter 04

Dandelion 03:35
dandelion with the sun from his cheeks on the window sill will light up the room when he's perched here for weeks and he lights it still just give me a sound just a poster to let me know you're still here don't forget to write me don't forget your family dandelion with the sun from his cheeks in my fingernails i'll pick up your stems pick your leaves when the breeze takes you far from here
3.
The Push 04:08
and when i found myself framed against the flatlands a hundred pilots in my arms the wind it did pick up and give a breath i folded a thousand times before and in a moments pose no one knows nobody knows what came before no it's not enough all of the heartaches all of the heartaches stacked one on top of the next is not enough the audience was stunned it was appalling it's not appalling what they saw i saw it in a movie once i came at once to a room of thunderbolts electrical charging up my spine i turn it on i turn it off it comes from a box beside my bed and when i pull on slackened rope mechanical increments in time pressure in my head the push is on my tongue dirt in my mouth and water in my lungs sunset to the west and fire in the home everything to want and nothing too to own
4.
drive me to the center where the engines move the city and the buildings duck and swell like a splendid carousel carry all to destinate and clean the tracks of dividends oh, the fluid, blurring landscape from the backseat window darling does the pavement bend the trees? as we hurry our machines with every pinch the center spreads into our limbs into our heads i have in my eyes if we step to the side we can be let go you think i'll unwind you think so you know i can't seem to shake off the times every place is sought with straight lines oh well oh well and timelines go forever but memories drown with summer there are some that do hold on and they build them into homes and it splits their selves in two half of me i'm half of you
5.
my roots go down down to the earth my roots go down i am a pine tree on a mountain side my roots go down i am a wildflower reaching for the sun my roots go down
6.
The Feeders 03:16
the feeders feed on my every word my syllables to sparks, to sparks and chew and spit my purposes project and fill their lungs with dreamer light don't you need to race to be the first to the head? we feed the holes with our hands the feeders fiend on my every word my syllables do swell, do swell and they grow up and up and on up and soon balloon—accumulus! don't you need to race to be the first to the head? we feed the holes with our hands this reminds me of something—something we can do this reminds me of something—something we can have the feeders feed on my every word my syllables are not enough and chew and spit my projects project and run on and run on
7.
underneath the avenue there's a tunnel been sleeping everyone is gathering at the market on findlay street the sun comes out on saturdays for to shine on the city i never knew your charity but i know you've forgiven me oh, cincinnati oh, cincinnati your hills are like a memory reinforced by concrete the tower towers over me chaperoning the busy streets cars stop and go stop and go stop and go i never knew your charity but i know you've forgiven me oh, cincinnati oh, cincinnati friends stop and go stop and go stop and go
8.
August Eyes 04:02
do you remember august eyes? the warm, warm songs of wind and sun blowing perfect rings out of flowerings into clouds and shade on our summer days oh no! oh no! we're can't go back to it. oh no! oh no! la la la la we split our split our hearts in two la la la la we should have stayed here we had been so long the grass bent for our bodies and grew into a cave around us it was the tiny strokes that called to us to get up but don't all things come to an end to an end?
9.
i was i was covered in amber leaves you were you were buried in dirt we said we said we meant what we said we said we said we said what we meant we climbed for (h)ours up to the golden sun and the bricks that we laid of paper-maché you said they would hold our weight forever i said you're clearly out of your mind in time what's passed is past it's okay we don't relate we don't relate it's okay you hold you hold forever like a secret tower and if it falls then it means we've ended our reign our words could never carry the procession our words could never bear all the wait in time what's passed is past let's give up the rest let's give up the sustain we don't relate it's okay we don't relate we don't relate you took all i've given i am all i gave oh september, october, november how the years pass like water chasing the sides of the stream to the sea oh yeah
10.
i caught the sunshine pushing folds into my skin and as the broad plains gave and i grew gray and warmed within the wind i draw is carving stone into my ribs and when i crawl to sleep i dream too big and wake up as the hills in stone in stone i count the days i called the mountains i said hey how are you? are we mirrors of ourselves off each other?
11.
Losing Light 02:38
stay still this is a stop in time we forgot to bring a camera the sky fills our horizon line we were out at franklin park losing light as day retreats we pocket all the heat so when we've left we'll stay warm in our beds but we get no rest stay still your face is aglow with shine i prefer you just the way you are on green hills we gather to watch the sun die we were out at franklin park losing light as day retreats we pocket all the heat so when we've left we'll stay warm in our beds but we get no rest stay still this is a stop in time we forgot to bring a camera
12.
turn the glass over in my hands and we'll all stand on our heads now we'll walk backwards and upside down till we all fall in our beds now in my dreams i'm asleep i'm asleep in all of my dreams each day at a quarter past and i'm thinking of the after and my cells move in perfect time when i wake up am i waking? in my dreams i'm asleep i'm asleep in all of my dreams i will change tomorrow tomorrow i will change turn the glass over in my hands and i'm counting back from twenty hide and seek at the bus depot i am always always searching in my dreams i'm asleep i'm asleep in all of my dreams
